Some of things Daniel Andrews and Denis Napthine said about East-West Link just last year’s state election seem almost unbelievable now, given it will now end up costing Victorians $1.1 billion.
‘It’s a great deal for Victoria,’ then Premier Napthine told Neil Mitchell four days from the election.
While Mr Andrews told Neil the contract ‘wasn’t worth the paper it was written on’.
‘It’s not valid,’ he said.
