Finance guru Scott Haywood has some tips to boost your savings.

As Treasurer Scott Morrison prepared the national budget, Scott told Tom Elliott some ways they can improve the bottom line of their family’s.

He said cutting out a couple of coffees per week can save $1,000 annually, and there’s no need to sign up for a gym membership when you can pay as you go – or just go for a run.

Ditching the second car in favour of public transport or Uber can be a good saver too.

And cutting back on take-away can be a massive saver, but 3AW listener Rob said eating out can be relatively cost-effective if you use discount vouchers and entertainment books.
