Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says a third allegation has been made against Senator David Van.

Speaking to Neil Mitchell, Mr Dutton said the third allegation “is not recent and it goes back … to a similar time period as the other alleged incidents”.

Senator Van has been expelled from the Liberal Party after being accused of sexual assault by Independent Senator Lidia Thorpe.

Former Senator Amanda Stoker has also accused Mr Van of inappropriately touching her at a social function in 2020. She says he apologised to her and said it wouldn’t happen again.

Mr Dutton said he was made aware of ANOTHER allegation by a third party, but won’t comment on the person against whom the alleged act was committed.
