Third-placed Angus Brayshaw cheekily thanks the AFL after not even scoring an invite to the Brownlow
Melbourne’s Angus Brayshaw has cheekily taken to Instagram to thank the AFL after finishing third in the Brownlow Medal count last night.
Problem was, Brayshaw didn’t even get invited!
The Melbourne FC players who were invited included Max Gawn, Nathan Jones, Jake Melksham, Clayton Oliver and Jack Viney.
Brayshaw posted a photo of himself, kissing a fake medal, thanking the AFL last night.
“Thanks AFL for mailing me my third-placed Brownlow,” he wrote.
“Big night for me, dressed by Cotton On.”
Melbourne’s ruckman Max Gawn was tipped to poll well but Brayshaw ended up leading the Melbourne voting.
Brayshaw’s third-place is even more remarkable considering he spent the first three weeks of the season in the VFL.
Poor @angusbrayshaw_!! Came third in the Brownlow & had the most votes for @melbournefc… yet it seems his invitation was lost in the mail! pic.twitter.com/m1PFzPbCsK
