‘This is insane’: Mark Allen angrily reacts to latest bail story

3AW host Mark Allen has angrily reacted to the story of a 15-year-old accused of five armed robberies, car theft and making threats to kill, being freed by a magistrate to travel to Europe with his family.

“This is insane,” Allen said on 3AW Breakfast.

“In Victoria, that’s where we’re at.”

Crime reporter Andrew Rule, who wrote the article on the front page of the Herald Sun this morning, then provided insight into the story which made Tony Jones’ “blood boil”.

“In that situation, the magistrate did the best he could with a difficult situation,” Mr Rule said on 3AW Mornings.
