‘This is it’: Australian details frightening Taiwan earthquake experience

An Australian living in Taiwan has detailed his experience of the island’s worst earthquake in 25 years.

Mickey Du says his apartment started falling apart once the earthquake hit and was left with a broken toe.

“I literally thought ‘This is it’, the tremendous amount of noise from everywhere, Taiwan is extremely dense, the amount of noise you hear is quite frightening.” he told Tony Jones, filling in for Tom Elliott.
