‘This is so disturbing’: Police withdraw almost 4,000 speed fines issued in North Melbourne

Almost 4,000 fines issued to motorists using North Melbourne street are being with withdrawn, Victoria Police have confirmed.

The speed limit on Arden Street has recently been reduced to 40km/h, with police saying as a result of the confusion 3,994 fines issued between July 2023 and January 2024 are being reversed.

Caller Kate – who was one of those people originally fined – said she almost lost her license as a result of the original speeding ticket.
