‘This is the real Melbourne’: Maj. Brendan Nottle’s emotional message on Bourke St

Neil Mitchell walked down Bourke Street on Sunday to pay tribute to slain cafe icon Sisto Malaspina and inspect the scene of Friday’s terror attack.

It was there that he came across an emotional former Melburnian Of The Year, Major Brendan Nottle.

“This is the real Melbourne, and we’re not going to let anyone or anything wreck it,” he said.
