‘A bit rich’: James Newbury calls out the Attorney-General over ‘community expectations’ comment

Victoria’s Attorney-General Sonya Kilkenny has directed criticism towards Chief Police Commissioner Mike Bush, after the revelation that he had misled the public about an undeclared flight.

Shadow Attorney-General James Newbury has responded to her comments, labelling them “a bit rich”.

Speaking on 3AW Drive, Newbury said “this Attorney-General has been responsible for the bail system, so for the Attorney-General to talk about community expectations, that’s rich.”

“I thought it was April Fool’s Day when I heard her comments.”
