Thousands flock to Shrine to reflect on Anzac Day
An estimated 35,000 people have gathered at the Shrine of Remembrance to reflect on Anzac Day.
The areas around the Shrine were packed for the traditional dawn service, with those in attendance paying tribute to the men and women who fought in all wars.
Many of them were children with their families, others young people just wanting to pay their respects.
The annual gunfire breakfast then got underway as people made their way down through the gardens to St Kilda Road.
Many stayed for the march which commenced at 9am.
Neil Mitchell spoke with the father-son combination who led it this year.
