Suburban Melbourne is being invaded by thousands of wayward Kangaroos.

Wildlife Victoria rescue teams are called to close to nine thousand cases a year where ‘roos have had to be rescued.

Spokesperson Amy Hidge has told Ross and John it averages out at 24 a day.

‘There are some days in peak periods where we have 50 recorded to our service.’ Amy said on 3AW Breakfast.
