Three arrested over brutal Ascot Vale stabbing

Police are questioning three men over a brutal attack which left a man and woman in hospital.

Emergency services were called to the Ascot Vale unit block about 9.20pm on Tuesday night amid reports of a stabbing.

A man, aged in his late 20s was found with serious injuries and taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital in a serious condition.

A woman, also aged in her 20s, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police have since arrested three men in North Melbourne.
