Tiffany Cherry has blasted Chris Gayle for his controversial comments

Tiffany Cherry, sportsbroadcaster and part of the 3AW footy team has blasted Chris Gayle for the controversial comments he made toward Channel 10 sports journalist Mel McLaughlin.

Gayle faces sanctions from Cricket Australia following the uncomfortable exchange from the sidelines following the Big Bash game, which saw Gayle openly flirt with McLaughlin and call her ‘baby.’

Tiffany Cherry from 3AW footy spoke with Justin and Kate and critisized not only Gayle’s comments but also the sniggering reaction from Channel 10’s commentary box and what it means for women in the sports industry.

‘It was a cricket match.  It wasn’t a dating game, it was completely inappropriate,’ she told Justin and Kate, ‘I just found it pathetic.’
