Tiger legend Matthew Richardson says Richmond fans deserve answers

Sportsday

Richmond’s dismal season has come to an end in the worst fashion.

Already disappointed to miss the finals, the Tigers flopped in their final hit-out, losing to the Swans by 113 points.

The Tigers are conducting a review, which club legend Matthew Richardson described as ‘thorough’.

‘Richmond supporters desperately want to know the answers from that review, they want to know what’s happened,’ Richo said on 3AW Sunday Football.

Richardson said the fans had demonstrated their displeasure with the club this year.

‘There’s over 70,000 members, but the crowd’s dropped off this year. It’s 15% down,’ he said.

‘They’re not happy, and they deserve answers.

‘Hopefully, there’s some big decisions made.’

Richo said Neil Balme would be a great fit for Richmond if he is squeezed out of Collingwood.
