TikTok video sparks debate about Australia’s minimum wage

A Canadian expat Tik Toker has said Australians shouldn’t complain about the minimum wage as Canada has a lower minimum wage sparking a debate.

The assistant secretary of the Victorian Trades Hall Council, Amanda Threlfall, says Australia’s minimum wage should be higher.

“We are currently in a cost of living crisis, minimum wage workers are struggling to pay for everyday living expenses,” she told Tom Elliott.
