Tiny dog attacked by monster eagle in north-east of Melbourne

A chihuahua has had a lucky escape after it was attacked by a monster eagle at Kinglake.

Tony Jones spoke with its owner, Mitch, on Tuesday.

He said he heard a commotion outside about 10am on Easter Monday.

“I saw a massive Wedge-tailed eagle with what I thought was a rabbit,” he said.

It wasn’t. It was one of his dogs.

“It was pecking her and trying to rip it apart,” he said.
