A family in Melbourne’s outer south east got a surprise visitor last night!

A baby Copperhead snake found its way into the lounge room of their South Cranbourne home.

It could have been dangerous, with a toddler finding the slippery visitor while her parents were cooking in the kitchen.

Luckily, the three-year-old knew what it was and called for help.

‘She came running in saying snake, snake, snake,’ mum Nikki explained on 3AW Breakfast.

‘She’s a bit of a story-teller, so our first reaction was ‘you shouldn’t say things like that’ but sure enough, there it was.
