Toddler in critical condition after collision in Melbourne’s south-east
A toddler is in hospital in a critical condition after they were hit by a van while at a pedestrian crossing in Chelsea Heights last night.
Victoria Police media adviser Kathryn Muffet told 3AW Breakfast the driver of the white van was travelling west on Thames Promenade when it struck the toddler.
“An off-duty police officer stopped and managed to assist the child, who was worked on by emergency services,” she said.
