Tom Elliott and Sussan Ley slam ‘ridiculous’ politicial junkets, lord mayor Nick Reece hits back
Tom Elliott has called out numerous “ridiculous” political junkets that’ve recently been announced, with key figures including lord mayor Nicholas Reece and Premier Jacinta Allan heading overseas at taxpayers’ expense.
The 3AW Mornings host also highlighted a five politician NDIS committee, who are off on a junket in December to the UK and Sweden.
“I don’t think any of these trips should happen, it’s just politicians who want a taxpayer funded holiday, that’s all it is,” he said.

Federal opposition leader Sussan Ley condemned the NDIS junket in particular when joining 3AW Mornings, stating “it just doesn’t pass the pub test”.
“Labor is just botching everything they do in this area right now,” Ms Ley told Tom Elliott.
