Tom Elliott and the ‘harsh truth’ about Jacinda Ardern’s resignation

Tom Elliott says Jacinda Ardern’s plunging popularity in New Zealand was almost certainly a factor in her decision to step aside as Prime Minister.

“She is not popular in New Zealand any more,” the 3AW Drive host said in response to the news on Thursday.

“She has been plunging in the opinion polls and they’ve got an election coming up in New Zealand and, on the current polls, she was going to lose.”
