Tom Elliott blames political culture for East-West Link waste

Don’t blame the Liberal Party for the $1.1 billion waste on East-West Link, says 3AW Drive host Tom Elliott.

Don’t blame Labor, either.

Tom has taken aim at something else.

‘I blame the political culture in this state and in this nation,’ he said on 3AW Drive.

‘The problem with politicians these days is that they’ve never done a proper job in their lives.

‘They’ve either worked for other politicians, they’ve been student politicians, they’ve been unionists or union organisers?

‘But actually start a business, or work a real job? Very, very few have.

‘As a result, they do not really understand where money comes from.’
