Tom Elliott blasts ‘appalling’ and ‘very bad spirit’ Adam Bandt speech

Tom Elliott wasn’t impressed with the manner in which Adam Bandt conceded his long-held seat of Melbourne.

The Greens leader was ousted in last week’s federal election, leading to a concession speech where he appeared to blame Liberal and One Nation preferences for his defeat to Labor’s Sarah Witty.

The 3AW Mornings host said Mr Bandt’s comments were in poor taste and unworthy of a political leader’s normal concession speech.

“I thought his farewell speech was appalling and in very bad spirit,” he said on 3AW.
