Tom Elliott busts the myth around ‘free’ public transport tickets

Tom Elliott says the recently announced free public transport fares aren’t what they seem.

Seniors and children will have access to complimentary public transport tickets from Jan 1 next year, but the 3AW Mornings host believes all this will mean is that taxpayers will have to foot the bill.

“We love things that are free and we keep voting for politicians that keep promising free stuff,” he said on 3AW.

“But of course, it is not free.”
