Tom Elliott calls for dogs to be genetically tested to help identify their owners

Tom Elliott says dog owners that don’t pick up after their pets are ‘the lowest of the low’.

Tom says he was jogging at Citizens Park in Richmond last week where he stepped in ‘doo doo’.

He is angry. ‘What should we do!?’ he asked.

‘Every dog should not only be microchipped but be genetically tested. So if we find a poo on the ground we can connect it to the dog and the owner,’  Tom said on 3AW Drive.

Tom spoke with Melanie Petkovic, she runs mobile dog poo cleaning service on the Mornington Peninsula called A & M.

‘I do the business side of it, and I send my husband out to do the cleaning!’ – She told 3AW Drive.
