Tom Elliott calls for urgent clarification on Mickleham quarantine facility

Tom Elliott has called on the government to clarify what’s happening with the development of a Mickleham quarantine facility following Friday’s announcement NSW would no longer require fully vaccinated international arrivals to quarantine.

The 500 bed facility, which will cost a few hundred million dollars to build, is currently under construction.

Tom Elliott said the NSW announcement means the facility may no longer be needed.

“Everything has been turned on its head, as far as quarantine is concerned,” he said.

“The whole thing is going to be a giant white elephant now.”
