Tom Elliott calls for vaccine leadership from the political class
Tom Elliott says Victoria’s political class could have eased some of the tension about mandatory vaccination in the community by implementing the same requirement on themselves.
Construction workers rioted in the streets last week over the issue, with some health care workers and teachers also voicing their opposition over a requirement for them to be vaccinated.
Deputy Premier James Merlino said he’d ‘follow the health advice’ when asked what he thought about mandatory vaccinations for politicians last week.
The 3AW Drive host said the response was an abdication of responsibility.
“Set the example – lead,” Tom Elliott said.
