Tom Elliott clashes with minister for women over gender equality bill

The minister for women has defended the gender equality bill that would force Victorian Government departments, the public sector and local governments to achieve gender equality through quotas.

Tom Elliott is fundamentally opposed to quotas, saying they prevent the best candidate from getting the job.

Natalie Hutchins says the evidence shows they work.
