Tom Elliott: CrowdStrike meltdown shows we’re too reliant on technology

Tom Elliott says last week’s global technology meltdown proves the modern world is too reliant on digital services such as cashless payments.

The world was thrown into chaos on Friday afternoon as Microsoft’s services went down, causing mass outages.

Tom says it proved to him that modern life was too tied to tech.

“It may me realise we’re over-reliant on technology,” he said on 3AW Mornings.

“Suddenly when it stops working – and it did stop working on Friday – it throws the world into chaos.”
