Tom Elliott explains troubling incident on his way to work

Tom Elliott came across a distressing scene as he arrived at work on Tuesday.

A woman, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, was ‘shouting, swearing and yelling’ and being restrained by several police and security guards.

‘It took six grown men to subdue her,’ he explained on 3AW Drive.

‘If that’s what ice does … which I’ve now seen with my own eyes … then we’ve got massive, massive problems.’

Dr Andrew Walby from St Vincent’s Hospital said it wasn’t uncommon.

‘It’s not unusual, unfortunately,’ he said.
