Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is set to make a major investment in green hydrogen at the upcoming federal budget, but Tom Elliott has explained why it “won’t work”.

The 3AW Mornings host explained what green hydrogen is and the reason why people might want it introduced, but he said the reason it won’t work is “quite simple”.

“Two billion dollars, and it’ll probably end up being a lot more than that, of your money is going to be spent on a technology which I think frankly doesn’t work, and it certainly isn’t very green,” he said.
