The Victorian government’s State of Emergency powers will soon expire, meaning authorities will no longer be able to enforce COVID-19 restrictions legally.

It could happen as soon as December 16.

And it appears the specialised pandemic legislation, which has caused plenty of controversy, is still no closer to being passed through the upper house of parliament.
