Victoria’s opposition leader has bristled at questions from Tom Elliott about the donor scandal that saw his chief of staff quit suddenly last week.

Matthew Guy joined 3AW on Monday for the first time since Mitch Catlin resigned after it emerged he’d asked a wealthy Liberal Party donor to make more than $100,000 in payments to his private business, outside of his taxpayer-funded salary.

The deal never took place, but Tom Elliott said several key questions remained unanswered.

But Matthew Guy was in no mood to answer them when probed about it on 3AW.

“Tom, I’m not going through all of this,” he said.
