Tom Elliott has a tip-off about changes to car entertainment systems

Tom Elliott has received a tip car manufacturers will soon ditch AM radio from their features.

It would follow overseas trends.

“What that means for us here in Australia, I just don’t know,” he said.

“It’s fine to say you can have digital broadcasting in the city, which works quite well, but out in the country it is AM for the vast majority of the land mass of Australia.”

He spoke with motoring reporter Steve Pizzati about the issue on Monday.
