Tom Elliott hits back at Neil Mitchell’s proposed new tax

Tom Elliott says it’s understandable a growing number of landlords are looking at Airbnb over long-term rentals, responding to calls from Neil Mitchell to introduce a new annual fee to help tackle the deepening rental crisis.

Neil Mitchell has called for Airbnb owners to pay a $5000 annual fee to be paid to the state government.

“Let’s just remember a few things here,” Tom Elliott said in response on Monday.
