Tom Elliott has made the case for Melbourne to become the “permanent” host of the Commonwealth Games.

And it’s all to do with the city’s unique sporting infrastructure.

“I’m not being stupid about this,” he said.

“But I do admit the fact no other city wants it is a very bad look.”
