Tom Elliott says he’s been interested in the political reaction to the tragic death of Eurydice Dixon.

The overwhelming suggestion has been that women should be able to walk wherever they want, whenever they want and that anything but that view is victim-blaming.

Tom Elliott says that view is completely understandable. However, it sadly isn’t realistic.

“The reality is this. We do not live in a perfect society,” the 3AW Drive host said.

“In a perfect world people wouldn’t steal things, they wouldn’t rob each other, they wouldn’t get drunk, they wouldn’t fight, rapes would not occur, murder would not occur. But they do. That is the imperfect world we live in.”
