Tom Elliott on the Lidia Thorpe sexual assault allegations

Tom Elliott thinks it’s too late for Lidia Thorpe to say she doesn’t want to go to the police after making allegations she was a victim of sexual assault by Senator David Van.

“But unfortunately now that she’s made the allegation, she cannot say she doesn’t want to go to police. … You cannot effectively accuse someone of sexual assault and then not allow them their day in court to either prove their innocence or potentially their guilt,” he said.
