Tom Elliott points out the reality of the deadly situation unfolding in Israel

Tom Elliott has pointed out the reality of the distressing Hamas attack in Israel over the weekend, which left over 600 Israelis dead.

He said “Israel will respond in force” but pointed out why Hamas may have looked to commit the attack, which the 3AW Drive host likened to 9/11 in terms of its impact on Israel.

Lecturer in Development at the School of Social Sciences at UNSW Sydney, Dr Lana Tatour then spoke to Tom Elliott on the context needed to understand what’s happening in Israel, what Australia needs to do in this situation and what happens from here.

“I think we’re going to see levels of violence that even surpasses what we have seen already,” Dr Tatour said.
