Tom Elliott questions lack of enforcement over e-scooter rule breaking
Tom Elliott has expressed his confusion at the lack of enforcement, over e-scooter riders breaking the rules, as the City of Melbourne, is reportedly in a stand-off with the state government over the trial.
He says motorists who go over the speed limit get penalised, but e-scooter riders don’t seem to get in trouble for breaking the rules.
“You rarely see them on the road in the city, they’re all being ridden on the footpath, very few e-scooters riders seem to wear a helmet,” he said.
