Tom Elliott reacts to ‘ambitious’ push from teal MPs
Teal MPs are calling for a minimum emissions reduction target of 75 per cent by 2035 in a move Tom Elliott has labelled overly ambitious.
Independent MP for Sydney, Kylea Tink, says “having a target that is ambitious and bold” is important.
But Tom Elliott says he doesn’t think the target is realistic.

“We’ll have to get rid of every petrol and diesel car off our roads and replace them with electric ones … we will have to completely replace our current system of power generation … we will have to get rid of all diesel-powered trucks and replace them with, well, I don’t know what!,” the 3AW Drive host said.
