Tom Elliott reacts to new ‘extraordinary’ protest figures

Tom Elliott has reacted to new figures which reveal the estimated number of protests held in the Melbourne CBD over the last six months.

“That’s several protests a day! … Victoria Police has had to pull 10,000 shifts from usual duty, basically to deal with protests,” he said.

He also says he believes people should be allowed to protest but urged for a limit.

“I don’t believe protesters have the right, for example, to stop you going to work, or you just getting from A to B,” he said.
