Tom Elliott reacts to parliamentary probe that would examine extremist links to protests

The Greens are pushing for a parliamentary probe that will examine the links between far-right extremism and the COVID-19 protests in Melbourne recently.

But Tom Elliott says it is wrong to paint all those who protested as extremists.

He says there are “ratbags” at every protest, whether they be for Left or Right wing causes.

“A lot of the people, as far as I could see, were just average men and women and in some cases children of Victoria who are very, very upset with the way the state of Victoria has been brought down and the culture of secrecy and dishonesty that permeates through the state government,” Tom Elliott said.
