Tom Elliott says becoming a republic is a bad idea

Tom Elliott thinks Bill Shorten will be the next Prime Minister of Australia, but has again rejected suggestions Australia should become a republic.

The 3AW Drive host said it would only cause problems, not solve them.

“We’re already over-governed as it is,” Tom Elliott explained.

“Do we really want another layer of elected government?”
