Tom Elliott has called for more transparency on a landmark bill that has been introduced in Victorian parliament.

It relates to the establishment of a body that will negotiate treaties between the state government and Indigenous Victorians.

“Now, I don’t necessarily have a problem with this, but I’d like to know what’s being spoken about,” the 3AW Drive host said on Tuesday.

He said the fact Victorians were being “kept in the dark” about what a treaty may look like was cause for concern.

“Nobody wants to talk, and that makes me think there is something in there that perhaps they’d rather not talk about,” he said.
