Tom Elliott sees parallels between Malcolm Turnbull and Kevin Rudd

Tom Elliott is concerned the Prime Minister has ‘gone rogue’.

He has seen a few parallels between Mr Turnbull and the unpopular former PM Kevin Rudd.

‘(Mr Rudd) was brought undone because he developed the terrible habit of announcing new policies without consulting his colleagues,’ Tom said.

‘Is Malcolm Turnbull doing the same thing?’

Tom said he doesn’t believe Treasurer Scott Morrison was consulted before Mr Turnbull implemented two recent tax policies.

‘When Malcolm Turnbull took over from Tony Abbott is was all about ‘we’re going to have an adult conversation with the Australian people; we’re going to advocate policies, not just announce them; we’re going to have genuine tax reform’.’

‘I’m not seeing it.’
