Tom Elliott slams ‘entitled’ people who think they have a right to own a home
Tom Elliott has taken aim at ‘entitled’ people who think they have a ‘right’ to own a home.
Responding to Waleed Aly’s comment that negative gearing is stopping him from owning his home, Tom said home ownership is not a human right.
He said the sense of entitlement about home ownership was ‘absolutely laughable’.
‘No one has a right to own a house, particularly not in a sought-after area,’ Tom said.
‘If you want to live there, you have to save up the money.
‘This sense of entitlement from younger Australians where they deserve to own not just any house, but the house where they particularly want to live, absolutely overwhelms me.’
