Tom Elliott slams ‘utterly ridiculous’ ticketing system at The Wheeler Centre

Tom Elliott has slammed The Wheeler Centre for their ticketing system, where tickets are $20 full priced, $15 for concession and free entry for first nations people, labelling it “utterly ridiculous” that ticket prices are being sold differently based on race.

Caller Chris from South Yarra alerted Tom Elliott to the issue through an email, and discussed on-air his disbelief when trying to buy tickets to see British historian, Antony Beevor, when he noticed the ticket pricing discrepancy.

“I think there is a lot of problems with that,” Chris from South Yarra said.

Tom Elliott agreed with Chris and was not at all happy with this ticketing system.

“This assumption that every Indigenous person is poor and cannot afford a ticket is utterly ridiculous,” Tom Elliott said.
