Yes, the Western Bulldogs are still one game away from winning the premiership.

But there’s no doubt they’ve already won the flag for banner-making this year.

They’ve been littered with witty messages all season.

Tom Elliott spoke with the man behind them on Friday.

‘I’m just trying to get a laugh,’ comedian Danny McGinlay said on 3AW Drive.

He said most opposition fans had embraced his gags, but they fell particularly flat on one club.

‘Bombers supporters do not have a sense of humour,’ McGinlay said.
