The Minister for Education has requested that the VCAA extend their VCE text selection guidelines.

The call is to ‘ensure that the views and sensitivities of cultural and religious groups are considered’.

Tom Elliott doesn’t agree with this, he says – ‘It is madness, it is stupid, it is dulling down the American people, we do not want it here’. 

3AW Drive spoke with Acting Premier James Merlino who tried to clear a few things up.

‘The VCAA needs to take into consideration community standards and expectations, but I absolutely agree with you Tom.’
