Tom Elliott speaks with woman at centre of Dustin Martin incident

The woman at the centre of the Dustin Martin police probe is far from happy with AFL over its handling of the incident, says Tom Elliott.

The 3AW Drive host knows the victim, a producer with Channel 7, and said she told him she was far from impressed with how the AFL had handled things.

Tom Elliott said the woman had told him she felt like she’d been encouraged to water down her version of events.

Tom said the woman had told him she felt aggrieved and undermined by the AFL.

‘I think it’s important this gets out there,’ Tom Elliott said.

‘It’s safe to say she’s not happy with the AFL.’

Tom said the woman told him she felt the AFL had undermined its own respect and responsibility policy and that it needed to focus more on the victim and less on its brand.
